I had no clue they were going to have Walter Peck doing the opening of the Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire trailer. The brand new trailer dropped, I love the Ghostbusters, I know Mrs. Know-It-All loves them, and I wanted to watch it with you. So I pressed play, and the first thing it does is hand the intro bits to that guy.
That was awesome. I’m super excited. That was great.
Walter Peck Gets the Opening
It’s obviously going to have the original guys, and I’m down for that. But Peck is the one that got me.
Last week on the Know-It-All News, the live stream we do every Wednesday (you should be watching it), Mrs. Know-It-All and I talked about this exact news in the headline section. William Atherton is coming back as Walter Peck, which is awesome. I can’t wait to see him in that role again. What I didn’t know was that they’d put him right up front in the trailer, in a courtroom, telling everybody the Ghostbusters are finished.
The Comic Where Peck Ran the Ghostbusters
I don’t know how many of you know this, but back in the day there was a comic book, the IDW comic book, and in it the Ghostbusters were turned into a municipality. Peck was like, no, I don’t want any of this. But he was down for it on one condition. He’s like, look, if you’re going to be doing it, I want to be able to control it. So he became the head of whatever their municipality was called.
So you call 911 and it’s ambulance, police, Ghostbusters. It was fun.
Janine in Uniform
I think it’s so cool, especially seeing Janine in the outfit like we’ve talked about. It looks like it’s a lot of fun. And if this is the speed and temperature, no pun intended, that we’re going to be getting the Ghostbusters in, I’m here for it. I’m down.
I’m excited for this movie to come out. With everything we’re getting from every franchise everywhere, the Ghostbusters are going strong, and I absolutely love that.
What’s your reaction to the trailer? Did you love it, and is there anything fun you’d love to see happen in the movie? The conversation lives in the comments on the video above.
