The Ironheart trailer has landed, and it’s hot off the Disney Upfronts presentation from yesterday. Marvel Studios dropped the first full trailer today, May 14th, and it’s our best look yet at Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, back in Chicago and pitting her tech-savviness against the magic of Parker Robbins, aka the Hood, played by Anthony Ramos.

I’m Mr. Know-It-All, and this is your Know-It-All News for May 14th, 2025.

Ironheart Takes Flight

Yesterday’s behind-the-scenes featurette gave us some tantalizing glimpses, plus insights from executive producer Ryan Coogler and head writer Chinaka Hodge. We learned that the first three episodes of the six-episode series will premiere together on Disney Plus on June 24th.

The new trailer showcases Riri’s genius as she builds her advanced suit, with Coogler emphasizing the legacy she’s stepping into. Dominique Thorne herself mentioned getting Robert Downey Jr.’s blessing, which is a nice touch for the fans. The series promises a clash of technology versus magic, and the trailer definitely plays up Riri’s determination and resourcefulness.

The Upfronts Had More Marvel TV to Give

Yesterday’s Disney Upfronts presentation also shed more light on Marvel Television’s upcoming slate. Charlie Cox hit the stage to talk Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, set for 2026, and revealed that Daredevil will finally sport his iconic black costume with the interlocking D’s. And in a huge crowd-pleaser, Krysten Ritter joined him, confirming her return as Jessica Jones in that second season.

The Defenders are slowly reassembling, folks.

A sizzle reel showcased other upcoming projects, including Eyes of Wakanda, set for August 6th, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, X-Men ‘97 Season 2, Marvel Zombies coming out in October, and a series simply titled Vision.

Marvel’s head of streaming, Brad Winderbaum, also discussed a recalibration for Marvel Television. They’re aiming for one or two live-action shows and two animated shows per year, with a focus on series that can have multiple seasons and may not always feature big-name Avengers in titular roles, though they can still make appearances.

Coogler Was in the X-Men Mix. Go Figure.

Thunderbolts director Jake Schreier is reportedly the frontrunner to helm the MCU’s X-Men reboot, but veteran film reporter Jeff Sneider revealed that Marvel also had talks with Black Panther director Ryan Coogler. Coogler’s commitments to Black Panther 3 likely made the timing difficult. What it shows is that Marvel is considering seasoned talent from within its own ranks for this highly anticipated project.

Meanwhile, the casting rumors continue, with Trinity Bliss from Avatar: The Way of Water reportedly in the mix to play Jubilee.

Two Peacemakers and a Multiverse Theory

The multiverse theory sort of deepens, I guess. The internet’s still buzzing about that Peacemaker Season 2 trailer from Max, especially the appearance of not one but two John Cenas as Peacemaker.

The prevailing theory, as discussed by outlets like Screen Rant, is that this is James Gunn’s way of transitioning Peacemaker from the old DCU to the new DCU via the multiverse. One key detail fueling it: the Peacemaker variant holding the gun sports a new helmet and an upward-facing dove emblem, distinct from Season 1’s downward-facing one. Gunn himself has said he has a way in to make it all make sense.

The trailer also heavily features Frank Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr., who’s out for justice after Peacemaker killed his son in The Suicide Squad. And we see Peacemaker attempting to join Maxwell Lord’s Justice Gang, with Green Lantern Guy Gardner, played by Nathan Fillion, and Hawkgirl, played by Isabela Merced.

Season 2 drops on Max on August 21st.

Andor Signs Off

Be warned, there’s a major spoiler for the series finale ahead.

The final three episodes of Andor Season 2 dropped yesterday, May 13th, on Disney Plus, bringing Cassian Andor’s journey to a poignant close right before the events of Rogue One. Reviews are hailing it as a powerful and thematically rich conclusion to what many consider one of the best Star Wars stories ever told.

One particularly emotional revelation, as reported by the Economic Times, involves Bix Caleen, played by Adria Arjona, being seen on Mina-Rau raising a child, which is implied to be hers and Cassian’s. That’s a sacrifice Cassian never knew he made, and it adds another layer of depth to his character.

Diego Luna, who has portrayed Cassian for a decade, described his final days on set as deeply emotional, especially stepping back into the Rogue One cockpit with K-2SO. As planned, this marks the end of the series.

My Andor Season 2 review goes up later today at 2 p.m. Eastern. Then join me Saturday, when Mrs. Know-It-All and I discuss the finale, including how it felt to roll right into the thirteenth episode of the series, Rogue One.

So there you go. Now you know. And if knowing is half the battle, you’re halfway to being a know-it-all yourself.

Jessica Jones is back, Peacemaker has a double, and Cassian has a kid he never met. Tell me which one of those you’re still chewing on. The conversation lives in the comments on the video above.
