So we’re back, and there’s a whole long story that goes with that.
I don’t even know where to start with you guys. It’s been an intense couple of weeks. Ever since the end of Star Trek: Picard Season 3, which is the last time you saw me, we’ve been dealing with some stuff. Some things that happen in life, as will happen.
We Had to Relocate, Very Fast
What ended up happening was we had to relocate very fast. Our landlord had to liquidate the house we were in as fast as possible, and we got out.
We’re in a temporary spot for right now, which is why I’m using the green screen in the video. I’ve done my best to make it something you’ll enjoy, because hey, man, that’s what I do. My day job, I’m a video editor.
Then the Day Job Got Liquidated Too
Shortly after that, and I did post about this, my day job was also liquidated. By that I just mean there was some drama stemming from the marketing director who was in charge of us, and ultimately they decided it’d be better to outsource the marketing overall for the company. So I was one of the roles that got liquidated.
So here we are. We’re in the process of making some things happen. I’m interviewing for some things, obviously. But at the same time it’s given us an opportunity to rethink and see how the channel will ultimately go forward, and I’m a very big fan of that.
What’s Coming Up
Obviously we have Strange New Worlds coming up, and then Lower Decks, and there’s tons of things to talk about. So I’m going to do my best to get a lot more content out for you as soon as possible. That’s for absolutely sure.
One of the things we’re going to start doing is looking at how best to serve you, the audience. I’ve got some Doctor Who stuff coming down the pike, and I’m going to be doing some other things too.
Coming up, we’re going to be doing a retrospective on Strange New Worlds Season 1. Mrs. Know-It-All and I have been doing a rewatch through it. Then Baby Know-It-All and I are going to be doing a rewatch through Lower Decks, or at least some of the highlights of the last three seasons, going into the next season. We’re super excited about that.
Discovery’s coming back in another year or so, and that’s going to be fun to watch, to see where they leave the 32nd century. And then of course there’s the excitement that is, hopefully, we get something Star Trek: Legacy. Let’s go.
The Know-It-All Files Are Coming Back
There’s a lot of fun stuff going on. I’m probably going to do some other discussions as well, and I have a lot of things to look through, so expect some Know-It-All Files. You can always follow me on Quora, where I try to answer questions from a text standpoint, but I’m also going to start doing more videos about that again. I feel like that’s a huge part of what we do here on the channel.
Scoops, and What I’d Rather Do
I’d been talking to some folks who are sort of scoopers and things of that nature. I don’t know that I’m that kind of YouTuber. That doesn’t mean I’m against it, and I’m all for it. But I’m very much of the mindset that if I can do something that I love to do instead of something that’s just topical, I’d like to find a merging of those two ideas.
So with movies that come out, as I get opportunities to see some, whether it’s an early screening or just day of, I’ll do my best to put some simple reviews up.
I can’t wait for the next video to come up soon. I’ll talk to you very, very soon. Never forget, everyone loves a know-it-all.
I’d love to hear from you on this one. Tell me what the Know-It-All family can do for you in the sci-fi space. The conversation lives in the comments on the video above.
